What is the KTeV Experiment?
Physicists on the KteV experiment are collecting data on the Kaon particle and the nature of its decay. The decay rates for this particle and its nemesis, the antikaon, do not exhibit similar rates.
This enhances the notion that more matter exists in the world than antimatter. The decay rates may also violate the charge-parity (CP) symmetry, causing a CP violation. Physicists have hypothesized other particles may violate this symmetry, but evidence has not confirmed this violation.
