The Elmhurst University 2020 Collegiate Immersion Summer Program gives students the opportunity to study global business alongside international students while earning college credit from a highly ranked university.
This program offers a rich, intensive academic and cultural experience. You will study international business on a traditional college campus and explore a world-class city. Learning alongside students from around the globe, you are sure to broaden your cultural lens while building your professional and social network.
You also will be immersed in the excitement of a busy Chicago summer, with weekday and weekend activities ranging from major league baseball to high-end shopping, along with world-class sightseeing and world-renowned dining.
This year’s program will take place July 11–July 31, 2020, at Elmhurst University.
Summer Immersion Program Course and Workshops
Students take one class and participate in college success workshops.
Designed to provide a basic understanding of the various facets of international business. Starting with basic trade theories, it covers the mechanics of the foreign exchange market, international finance and accounting, marketing, cultural differences, and management strategy under the international environment, organizational structure and practices of the multinational company, and international institutional arrangements.
Preparing and Transitioning for College Success workshops show high school students how to succeed at a university. In the workshops, students will explore topics related to the admission process and academic programs. They will also receive career development tips and more.
Registration and Payment Information
The registration deadline for the summer immersion program is Friday, May 1, 2020.
For students taking the program for transcripted credit, the cost is $3,950 and includes tuition, housing, meals, admission fees and transportation to and from co-curricular activities while on campus.
For students who wish to attend the program without receiving university credit, the cost is $2,500.
