Welcome to a fun and educational day of preparation for the ILMEA auditions!

For no more than the cost of one private lesson, high school string students in all ILMEA districts, and junior high string students in ILMEA Districts 1, 7, and 9 are invited to attend master classes, sectionals, and rehearsals to prepare for the ILMEA auditions in October.

9:30–10:00 a.m.
Check-In/Registration at Hammerschmidt Memorial Chapel

10:00–11:45 a.m.
Sectionals/Master Classes with members of the Elmhurst String Faculty

11:55 a.m.–12:30p.m.
LUNCH (provided) and performance by String Faculty

12:40–1:10 p.m.
Sight-reading Session for all high school students

1:15–2:00 p.m.
Additional Sectionals/Master Classes

Junior High Schedule

9:30–10:00 a.m.

10:00–10:45 a.m.
General audition preparation with members of the Elmhurst String Faculty

10:55–11:45 a.m.
Sectionals

11:55 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
LUNCH (provided) and performance by String Faculty

12:40–2:00 p.m.
Orchestra rehearsal on audition music
