For Employers

The Weigand Center for Professional Excellence offers resources to help employers of all sizes connect with our students, post openings, recruit interns and conduct on-campus recruiting for full-time positions.

Job Postings

Post employment and internship opportunities at ECconnect, our career resource website. You’ll have to register on the site to use it, and postings typically require two to three business days to become active. Commission-only job listings aren’t accepted.

On-Campus Recruiting

If you’d like to meet with Elmhurst students informally to let them know about your company, contact us. We’ll set up a table near the cafeteria during lunch hours, where you can hold informal conversations with interested students.

On-Campus Interviewing

If you have an opening for a full-time position or an internship, we invite you to conduct on-campus interviews with Elmhurst students. We’ll publicize your opportunity and coordinate the interviews, which can be open to all interested students or restricted to pre-selected students.

Career opportunities also can be posted with the College Career Consortium of Illinois (CCCI) formerly Illinois Small College Placement Association (ISCPA), a consortium of 18 liberal arts colleges and universities representing more than 56,000 students and 250 majors. To register, visit the CCCI Online Career Center at cccilinois.org.

For Internships

Elmhurst College works with employers to establish internships and mutually-productive partnerships.

Each year, more than 200 Elmhurst students complete academic credited internships throughout the Chicago area, gaining skills and providing services to their employers.

Internships offer students the opportunity to explore an occupational field and/or work experience related to their career goals. As a four-year comprehensive college, Elmhurst students major in a range of disciplines including the humanities, sciences and business. If they choose to register their internship for academic credit, they typically work part-time hours for a fixed duration.
