After graduating from Cornell University with a B.S. in engineering, Hugh Pinkus worked as an engineer, investigating structural failures. He then earned an MBA in finance and accounting at the University of Chicago and went on to work in audit and as CFO of two manufacturing firms for 10 years. Pinkus served as chair of the Illinois CPA Society’s Manufacturing Organizations committee and then served on the society’s Executive Committee. He served a two-year term on the AICPA subcommittee that sets questions for the CPA exam.

Pinkus has spent the past 20 years as a director in management consulting firms focused on IT-enabled process improvement. His client focus has been in manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, health care and insurance. A project management professional, he has led large global projects and has the scars to prove it.
