Social Justice Studies

The area of Holocaust studies will increase your understanding of the history, characteristics, effects, and social justice implications of the Holocaust. You’ll gain an understanding of the unique culture, within group diversity, and social situation of Jews and other targeted groups, and an awareness of the similarities and differences between Jews, other minority groups, and the dominant majority.

As part of the requirements for a minor in intercultural studies, students will enroll in two of the following courses:

  • WL 215 Genocide and the Holocaust
  • ICS 280/380 Intercultural Experiential (using the Holocaust Guestship, local Holocaust museums (Skokie, Spertus Institute), the U.S. Holocaust Museum in Washington, D.C., etc.

Holocaust International Travel Study as offered (even January Term and other).
