The course will be team-taught by active researchers in the field who are full-time faculty in the Department of Psychology at Elmhurst University.

You will experience the science of psychology in a fun and interactive environment. Closely mentored by Psychology faculty with extensive teaching and research experience, you will work in small teams to carry out an original research study.

You will gain experience reading empirical literature, developing a novel hypothesis, collecting data with human participants, analyzing data using statistical software, and presenting results at a poster symposium.

The bootcamp will include networking opportunities, guest speakers, panel discussions, and presentations on topics relevant to the psychology major, including career preparation and graduate school. Programming will also include informational sessions on transfer admission and financial aid advice from representatives from various offices across campus.

No housing is provided. Students must commute to the Elmhurst University campus, which is accessible by car or Metra commuter train.

Some meals and occasional light refreshments will be provided. On most days, students should plan on bringing their own meals/snacks or purchasing on campus. Refrigerators and microwaves will be available.
