Celebrate the Class of 2024!
This year’s Elmhurst University Commencement ceremonies will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024, on the University Mall.
Students planning to graduate at the end of this term, Spring 2024, must apply by April 3 (deadline has been extended due to Easter recess) to ensure their name will be listed in the Commencement Program and to receive Commencement communications regarding the May 18, 2024, Commencement ceremonies.
If you are planning to graduate at the end 2024 Spring, it is imperative that you submit your graduation application through your Self-Service account ASAP.
As per our guidelines, it is recommended that students apply for graduation at least one year prior to their anticipated completion term.

Elmhurst University 2024 Commencement Parking Map
The information provided below is an overview of Commencement Day as well as important participation details, dates, and deadlines.
All three Commencement ceremonies will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024 on the Elmhurst University Campus Mall (rain or shine). Each graduating student will be allowed six (6) guests tickets for their assigned ceremony.
Graduate Ceremony: 8:45 a.m.
Undergraduate Ceremony: 11:45 a.m.*
Undergraduate Ceremony: 2:45 p.m.*
*Undergraduates, your assigned ceremony time will be announced via your Elmhurst University email.
Undergraduates:
Please review the Program and Graduation Notes notated on Self-Service in the section “Progress” to ensure you are registered for all remaining requirements to complete your degree.

International Students:
If you are an International Student who wishes to invite guests that require a formal letter, please request such letter by emailing: commencement@elmhurst.edu.
Please be sure to include all necessary information that will need to be detailed in the letter when making the request.
Ceremony Participation:

- Deadline for home shipment: April 15, 2024.
- Students MUST purchase regalia in order to participate in the ceremony and receive guest tickets.

Marching Order Registration:
Marching Order is a graduation software we use to organize our Commencement ceremonies as well as guest tickets.
The next Commencement Communication will provide you with a link and instructions to register on Marching Order for your upcoming Commencement ceremony.
You must register via Marching Order, with your Elmhurst University email, in order to participate in the Commencement Ceremonies.
Guest tickets are virtual QR codes that you will receive once you have purchased your regalia via your Marching Order account.
Marching Order registration deadline: Friday, April 26, 2024
- All Commencement information will be communicated through your Elmhurst University e-mail from commencement@elmhurst.edu email address. Please monitor your email often.
- If you are not receiving commencement emails, make sure you have applied for Graduation through self-service and contact the Office of Registration and Records, regrec@elmhurst.edu.

It is crucial that you apply for graduation regardless of whether or not you intend to walk in the ceremony. Applying for graduation ensures that your degree will be posted on time and that you have met all outstanding degree requirements. Please be sure to apply for graduation by April 1, 2024.
Grad Finale
Grad Finale will be held on April 23, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and April 24, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. More information on this event to come!
Final Grades
Final grades for the Spring 2024 term are due May 22, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. Once all final grades have been submitted and posted, our degree evaluator will post your degree conferral.
Please Check Your Self-Service Account to Ensure We Have the Correct Home Address for You
Instructions on how to check and update your home address on Self-Service are listed below:
- Log in to your Self-Service account.
- Select the “User Options and Other Links” drop down on the left-hand side and then select “User Profile.”
- Once you have selected “User Profile,” you will see the preferred mailing address listed. If correct, no further action is necessary. If incorrect, you can select the “Remove or Edit” option on the right-hand side to update your home address.

Professional Photography and Video
Image Perfect, a professional photography company, will take individual photos of each graduate as they receive their diploma. After Commencement, you will receive an email from Image Perfect with a link to your proofs, along with purchase information.
