Housed in the oldest building on campus, Old Main, the Elmhurst College History Exhibit is open to alumni.

Appointments can be made to visit the Rudolf G. Schade Archives in the A.C. Buehler Library. The archives strive to identify, preserve, organize and make accessible the records and enduring value of the College, the surrounding community and the United Church of Christ.

The Schaible Science Center houses the Bates Observatory, complete with a telescope powerful enough to reveal “not just the rings of Saturn, but also the splits between the rings.” To schedule a visit, call (630) 617-3032.

In 1966, the College established a campus arboretum with approximately 65 varieties of trees and shrubs. Over the years, alumni, faculty and staff have contributed to the collection’s growth. Today, the campus is home to about 900 species. We welcome our alumni to personally visit the arboretum anytime.
