Nov. 23, 2021, Task Force Update

November 23, 2021 | by the Elmhurst University COVID-19 Task Force

Dear Elmhurst University Community:

Ensuring the health of the campus community is a responsibility we all share, and it will require a shared commitment from each of us as we modify the way we live, learn, and work together. We are many Bluejays within one nest.

As we approach the Thanksgiving break, the Task Force would like to remind everyone to continue to follow state protocols and not to become lax with the rules pertaining to COVID-19. As a campus, we have done great this fall term. We hope everyone stays healthy and safe over the break and is ready to participate in the joy and celebration of Founders Day on December 6.

  • Rapid Tests are available tomorrow from 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. (Please note the change in the ending time this week.)
  • As an added precaution, only PCR tests will be provided on campus next week, following Thanksgiving break; rapid tests will not be offered. Additionally, if you are tested on a weekly basis and choose to get tested off-campus next week, you must submit PCR test results.
  • If you do not currently get tested on a weekly basis, but would like to get a PCR test, please follow this link to complete the registration form.
  • Please note: From this point forward, the COVID-19 Task Force will accept rapid tests from authorized testing facilities only. At-home tests will no longer be accepted.

We will continue to provide updates as we monitor the pandemic and the changing health and government guidelines.

As always, please be safe and healthy.

Bluejay Proud,
The COVID-19 Task Force
