George Orwell’s biting satire, adapted by Nelson Bond
Directed by Andrew Behling
Performances will run October 8–18, 2020
The animals of Manor Farm have revolted against the negligent rule of their human master and set out to forge a society that will ensure true equality and freedom for all with four legs. Power was turned over to the pigs, who were deemed the most intelligent. The integrity of their character, on the other hand, turned out to be a very different story.
This faithful adaptation of George Orwell’s biting allegory illustrates that even the noblest of causes can be corrupted by the dangerous allure of absolute power.
The cast includes Elmhurst University students Emma Corum, Mason Dunn, Beatrice Harbaugh, Amelia McNeil-Maddox, Alexa Nastasi, Kevin Patrick, and Tristan Ramos.
