EC Connection

EC Connection is a pre-orientation program designed to support incoming first year and transfer students with their transition to Elmhurst College. Specifically, this program will enhance intercultural awareness and appreciation among its participants by providing resources to successfully navigate the Elmhurst community, both inside and outside of the classroom. Although EC Connection is open to all undergraduate students, we highly encourage historically underrepresented populations to apply. This includes, but is not limited to; students of color, students who identify as LGBTQIA+, first-generation college students, differently abled students, and international students. EC Connection runs in August before Orientation.

Bluejay First

Bluejay First is a program for students, faculty, staff, administrators, and alumni who identify as first-generation college students. To be a member of Bluejay First, you have to meet the qualifications for being a first-generation student, as defined by Elmhurst College (*if you self-identify or if neither of your birth/adoptive-parents have completed College). Faculty, staff, administrators, and alumni do not have to be former students of the college to be in the program. Members of Bluejay First will have access to ongoing networking and mentorship opportunities. In addition, incoming first-year and transfer students will have the opportunity to join a fall cohort program.

Coalition on Multicultural Engagement (CME)

CME is a group of representatives from recognized cultural identity student organizations on campus. CME meets to plan collaborative programs, discuss trends on campus, and support one another through open dialogue.

Circle of Sisterhood (COS)

COS is an informal empowerment group designed to empower, uplift, and unite undergraduate and graduate Women of Color at Elmhurst College. Circle of Sisterhood fosters an environment where Women of Color can gain a better sense of self through leadership development opportunities, personal growth activities, mentoring, and networking.

Men of Distinction (MOD)

MOD is a peer group for undergraduate and graduate Men of Color at Elmhurst College that will support mentorship, a sense of belonging, and personal growth. MOD cultivates a community of leaders who will improve their personal success through social engagement opportunities, service learning, and programming initiatives.

The Prism Network (TPN)

TPN is an empowerment space designed to empower, guide, and support undergraduate and graduate students who identify with the LGBTQIA+ community at Elmhurst College. TPN provides an opportunity for members to engage in conversation, networking and social outings that will enhance their personal success and growth.

Ally Training

Ally Training is a program for faculty, staff, and students to examine ways to advocate for social change and equity in their community.
