True Colors Community
Make lifelong friends and thrive in a student-initiated community that is built upon respect for all identities.
Moving to Cureton Hall in the fall of 2020, the True Colors Community was created specifically to support students who identify as members of the LGBTQIA+ community. This community consists entirely of facilities that are not gender-specific, including all rooms and bathrooms.
- Large lounge on the floor
- One community-style bathroom
- ADA accessible
- Resident Assistant (student staff member living on the floor) specially selected and trained to create the most inclusive community possible through programming and community-building
- 11 available spaces in a mix of double and single rooms
- Free laundry
Ready to Live Here?
If you would like to move in with a roommate of your choice, you can—but you also don’t need to have a roommate in mind. You will be matched with someone who has similar sleeping, studying and cleanliness habits. Note that this may or may not be someone who is the same biological sex as you.
Please indicate your desire to live in the True Colors Community on your housing application, which is available on the My Elmhurst Campus Portal (click on the “My Housing” link). If you have any questions about the community, please contact the Office of Housing and Residence Life at (630) 617-3150 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
