Careers and Outcomes
The U.S. Department of Labor has stated that businesses have invested more than $7.8 million to help address the workforce needs of the information technology industry.
According to the DOL, “when recruiting for high-end jobs, the industry sees a need to develop soft skills, as well as transferable ‘umbrella skills.’” Graduates with a bachelor’s degree in the information technology program at Elmhurst will be proficient in the skills required to excel in the IT field, giving them a competitive edge in the market.
Alumni of the program flourish in high-ranking IT positions at leading international companies, including Microsoft, IBM, Motorola, and many others. They build thriving careers as senior-level hardware and software engineers, software managers, graphic and web designers, and in a variety of entrepreneurial ventures.
