Vaccination Requirement Update

July 22, 2021 | by the Elmhurst University COVID-19 Task Force

Dear Elmhurst University Community:

The COVID-19 Task Force continues to actively prepare for a safe, healthy return to campus this fall. We are excited about returning to many of our in-person gatherings and traditions that, for the past 15 months or more, have needed to be virtual.

Planning for our full return to campus has been a driving force behind the implementation of our COVID-19 vaccination requirement. We were delighted to see that the Illinois Board of Higher Education and the Illinois Community College Board, guided by recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, released a joint statement urging all colleges and universities to require students to get vaccinated before returning to their campuses in the fall.

Getting vaccinated is the best step any of us can take to protect ourselves and our communities from the coronavirus and its variants. Plan to upload your proof of vaccination by August 10, 2021. As a reminder, our vaccination policies can be found on our Vaccination Requirement FAQ webpage. Other important information and links for uploading documentation can be found on our COVID-19 Updates webpage. Upload your proof of vaccination to be entered in the weekly vaccine sweepstakes for students and employees ($250!!).

On behalf of the COVID-19 Task Force, we thank you for helping us to keep our campus community safe.
