Gravitational Force 2

The Inclined Plane is a simple machine that changes the direction of a force. The only external force acting on the dynamics cart is gravity, but since matter cannot occupy the same space, the inclined plane exerts a normal force of the dynamics cart. This normal force is perpendicular to the inclined plane, and counteracts the component of gravitational force that is perpendicular to the inclined plane. The net force on the dynamics cart is then proportional to the sine of the angle between the inclined plane and the horizontal.
