Master Classes and More
The 2021 Elmhurst University Double Reed Chamber Music Day is an intensive, one-day in-person music performance camp for high school students that includes master classes, virtual and in-person chamber rehearsals, large ensemble rehearsal, and a presentation from vendor Oboe Chicago on instrument care. The camp culminates in a final chamber music performance.
The 2021 camp is restricted to commuting students only. No overnight residency is available.

Application Form
Application forms may be submitted now through August 8, 2021. Applications will be reviewed and accepted on a first-come, first-served basis pending receipt of $20 payment. Applications will remain open until individual sections are filled, at which time a waiting list will be initiated.
Tuition
- Commuter: $20 (includes all instruction, lunch and camp T-shirt)
Schedule
The day will begin at 9am with a mini-recital by faculty, masterclasses, instrument care Q&A, lunch (with time to visit vendors), large ensemble rehearsal, small group ensemble rehearsal, and a tour of the campus.
The final musical performance will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 22, as an outdoor concert. The performance will be open to the public, friends, and family.
Meal
Lunch will be included and served in the main University café.
The main café in the Frick Student Center is Elmhurst University’s primary food service facility. A wide assortment of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner is available, including made-to-order items, custom pizzas and desserts. For students with dietary preferences or restrictions, our food service will help accommodate your needs.
