Graduate Education Programs

The Elmhurst Experience is all about seeing your teaching career take flight. The endorsements, master’s degree programs and graduate certificates listed below accommodate the schedules of working teachers, emphasize leadership and collaboration, and electives can be combined to complete multiple endorsements to meet your career goals.

Educators with an LBS1 endorsement can also elect to have an Illinois ESL Letter of approval added to their credentials which requires three courses:

  • MTL 558 Theoretical Foundations of Teaching English Language Learners
  • MTL 579 Methods and Materials for Teaching English Language Learners
  • MTL 587 Assessment of English Language Learners

Being a part of the Master’s program here at Elmhurst has helped me learn and grow as a future teacher leader and helped me evolve as a current teacher. I am forever grateful to have had the opportunity to attend both undergrad and grad studies here and recommend both to anyone interested in these career paths!
