Fall International Student Orientation occurs during the week prior to the start of the Fall semester. All new to Elmhurst University Undergraduate and Graduates international students planning to study on an F-1 visa are required to attend Fall International Student Orientation.
Students will be automatically registered for and notified of their registration via email. To ensure attendance, students need to arrive and be settled in the U.S. prior to their assigned Orientation day.
International students are required to attend International Student Orientation sessions according to the schedule below; note that undergraduate and graduate students attend separate orientations, with graduate international students assigned to a specific day based on their program of study.
Fall 2025 International Student Orientation dates are pending. Please check back later for more information.
If you are unable to arrive in the U.S. in time to attend your scheduled International Student Orientation you might be eligible for Late Arrival approval based on limited allowable circumstances and should complete the New International Student Late Arrival Request Form. Requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and must meet the eligibility (both reason and proposed late arrival date by academic level) and include the required evidence to be considered and approved.
Please plan to arrive in the U.S. before your assigned International Student Orientation Day so you are able to attend (attendance is required). You will receive confirmation of your assigned International Student Orientation details via the email used for admission once your visa (initial status students) or SEVIS record transfer-in (transfer students) is confirmed; this will include date, time, location, and agenda information, so please make sure to review it carefully. Please email ISS should you have any questions.
