Orientation

Welcome to Elmhurst College!

Orientation at Elmhurst College is a great opportunity to explore, meet new people, get accustomed to college life and build friendships that can last a lifetime.

First-Year Students

You’ll participate in a four-day orientation program known as New Student Orientation: Are You Ready to Reach Your Full Potential? Through service projects, team-building exercises and more, you’ll examine your beliefs, build academic skills and become a part of the Elmhurst community. Save the Date for New Student Orientation 2018: Wednesday, August 22-Saturday, August 25. Information to follow soon. Be on the look out for a postcard and brochure with full schedule and details.

Transfer Students

Transfer students will enjoy a one-day orientation program on Wednesday, August 22 that helps ease the transition to a new environment, and they will learn about all of our resources and opportunities. It’s a chance to make connections with faculty and staff to discover what Elmhurst College is all about.

In addition to Wednesday’s orientation program, we invite you to participate in additional activities and programs for the rest of the week such as an adventure obstacle course, service project, and a visit to President VanAken’s house.

Check back soon to RSVP for Wednesday’s orientation program as well as the additional programs for the rest of the week.

Weeks of Welcome

After Orientation officially ends, you’ll enjoy several weeks of activities designed to build community and get you involved. From the end of August throughout Fall Term, Weeks of Welcome offers video screenings, lectures, service projects, religious activities and much more.
