Major in Communication Studies

A communication studies major from Elmhurst will give you the skills and experience you need to succeed in advertising, public relations, journalism, education, law and countless other fields.

During your coursework in communications, you might do an internship with WGN, CLTV or another Chicago-area organization, or work in the on-campus radio station.

The major in communication studies is specially tailored for students who are interested in exploring the relationship between theory and practice in and across a variety of communication-related contexts. This major is also recommended for students who plan to pursue graduate degrees in communication studies.
