The William R. Johnson Intercultural Lecture
August Stockwell is a researcher, educator and the executive director of Upswing Advocates in Chicago, a nonprofit that provides trainings and research opportunities supporting the LGBTQ2IA community. A neurodivergent, queer, non-binary human, Stockwell also is associate director of research in the Applied Behavior Analysis Department of The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Their research topics include gender, sexual behavior, mindfulness, non-monogamy, communication in relationships, neurodiversity, cultural considerations, and effective skill-building strategies.
