Stand out in your Job Search with a Compelling and Creative Cover Letter

This workshop will boost the likelihood that your cover letter will stand out, respond effectively to the job posting, and tell your story quickly and in a compelling way. You will put your values statement (also called the elevator pitch) and CARs (Circumstances – Actions – Results (CARs)) stories to work. You will see examples of effective, concise cover letters that emphasize results. You will put these ideas into your own cover letter.
Participants are asked to bring a cover letter that they can work on during the workshop that includes the values statement and at least one CARs story.
