Resources for Complainants and Respondents of Sexual Misconduct
The following resources are available for individuals who have experienced sexual misconduct.

Medical Support
In some instances of sexual misconduct, the Complainant should consider seeking medical attention as quickly as possible. This will serve to protect evidence and provide support for the health and safety of the Complainant.
Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANEs) are available at the Elmhurst Hospital Emergency Room and are on call 24/7 to provide free forensic examinations and comprehensive care to sexual assault patients. An evidence kit can be collected up to 7 days after the assault, and a survivor does not need to complete a kit to receive an exam and treatment. The kit also does not need to be released to the police right away.
