Honors Program Global Scholars

Global Scholars complete a minimum 26 semester hours (6.5 Honors credits) with at least one Honors course at the 300/400 level with a grade of B- or better and include research and study abroad credit.

Honors Program Undergraduate Research Grants

Through the generosity of donors, Honors Program Undergraduate Research Grants, including Swords Scholar Grants, are competitively awarded to support the research work of Honors Program students. Swords Scholars are named in recognition of the pioneering work of Robert and Barbara Swords who began the Elmhurst University Honors Program in 1965.

Honors Program Summer Fellows

The Summer Fellows Program encourages and increases independent undergraduate research. The Summer Fellows is restricted to students with junior or senior standing (conducting research after their sophomore or junior years), undertaken with the supervision of a faculty mentor. Summer grants are awarded through a highly competitive process.
