Dr. Schumacher received her BSN from St. Xavier University, MSN Loyola University and DNP from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She holds professional certifications as a Clinical Nurse Leader and as a Pediatric Nurse. She has maintained her clinical practice in pediatrics throughout her career.
Her professional interests include promoting home routines and rituals while hospitalized and promoting good sleep habits for children. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and Society of Pediatric Nursing.
