Hedda Gabler wasn’t meant to live a common life. Her inner world is too grand and tempestuous to fit inside of the suffocating drawing room of her newly purchased villa. Having just returned from her honeymoon, the fissures in her marriage are already apparent. Her discontentment escalates dramatically with the return of a brilliant but troubled old flame and the increasing influence of a Machiavellian judge. As her autonomy is stripped for her and she confronts a future that might have been, Hedda Gabler discovers that there may be no consequence too extreme in the gambit for some control over her own life.
