Cyber Security Program Featured in Daily Herald Business Ledger

April 2, 2014 | by the Office of Marketing and Communications

In an article for the Daily Herald Business Ledger, James Dauer, an associate professor in Elmhurst College’s Department of Computer Science & Information Systems, writes that recent high-profile incidents of cyber crime point to the growing demand for information technology professionals who can help protect data and information, and keep cyber attackers at bay.

To help fill the demand for these specially trained professionals, Elmhurst College recently launched an accelerated undergraduate major in cyber security. The program meets the needs not only of professionals already working in the IT industry, but also of working adults from other professions interested in joining the fast-growing field. The College also offers a certificate program in cyber security.
