June 2, 2016 | by the Office of Marketing and Communications

Senior Becky Arriola, of Berwyn, has been named the Elmhurst College 2015-2016 student employee of the year.

Employed by the College’s A.C. Buehler Library as a reference desk assistant, Arriola was nominated by her supervisor, Julia Venetis. Arriola, an English major, was one of eight students nominated from departments across campus.

The Student Employee of the Year is sponsored nationally by the National Association of Student Employment Administrators. Supervisors nominate the candidates, who are rated on their reliability, quality of work, initiative, professionalism and uniqueness of contribution.

Arriola was awarded a certificate from the College and a letter and certificate from the Midwest Association of Student Employment Administrators. She also received a gift card from the Elmhurst College bookstore, and her name has been engraved on a plaque in the Frick Center that honors the annual Student Employee of the Year.
