Elmhurst College’s Fifth Annual Evening for Scholarships will be held on Saturday, March 15, and will offer a number of fun and meaningful ways to support Elmhurst students.

CBS 2 news anchor Rob Johnson will serve as the emcee, and the night’s festivities will include a live auction and Fund a Scholarship opportunities led by auctioneer Keith Jones of Sayre & Jones Auctioneers.

This year’s auction will feature a variety of experiences, including a trip to Taos, New Mexico, or Whistler, British Columbia; sports tickets to the hottest teams in town, including the Blackhawks, Bears, Sox, Cubs and Fire; a dining experience for six with a private, in-home chef; a photo session with Elmhurst College alumnus Andre Lacour; an evening on Lake Michigan; and much more. BMO Harris Bank, Wirtz Beverage of Illinois and Chartwells are the leading sponsors of An Evening for Scholarships.

Scholarships are a significant source of support for Elmhurst students—96 percent of all students enrolled at Elmhurst in the 2012-2013 academic year received some form of financial aid. Last year’s event raised $300,000, all of which went directly to supporting scholarships.

“This event has been an essential source of scholarship funding for our students, and we look forward to continuing this positive momentum,” said Joseph Emmick, vice president for development and alumni relations. “Scholarship support lightens the financial burden for students, which allows them to focus on their education and their Elmhurst Experience.”

The Fifth Annual Evening for Scholarships will be held on Saturday, March 15, in the Frick Center on the Elmhurst College campus. The event begins with a 6:00 p.m. cocktail reception and continues with dinner at 7:00 p.m. To purchase tickets, RSVP online or call the Office of Development and Alumni Relations.
