From Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick, the team that brought us Fiddler on the Roof, comes the wonderfully human and innocently romantic musical She Loves Me.
Set in a 1930s Budapest Parfumerie, it tells the story of adult pen pals who form a loving relationship without knowing that they are also coworkers. As they spar in the shop, their love grows in their letters.
Frank Del Guidice will direct the play, with musical direction from Scott Uddenberg and lyrics by Harnick. Amy Lyn McDonald is the director of choreography for Bock’s music. She Loves Mewas written by Joe Masteroff.
She Loves Me will be performed Thursday, October 9, through Saturday, October 11, as well as on Thursday, October 16, through Saturday, October 18, at 8:00 p.m. There will be a Sunday performance on October 19 at 2:00 p.m. Performances will take place in the Mill Theatre (253 Walter St., Elmhurst). General admission is $7, students are $5, and senior citizens, Elmhurst faculty and staff are $6.
