Speech Language Hearing Clinic to Offer Free Screenings on Jan. 18

The Elmhurst Speech Language Hearing Clinic at Elmhurst College will host a Community Day on Jan. 18, 2020, to provide free screenings for children and adults of all ages.

The screenings that will be offered include:

  • Speech and language screenings for children 18 months and older
  • Fluency screening
  • Voice screenings
  • Adult language screenings
  • Memory and cognition screenings
  • Oral-motor/swallowing/feeding screenings for children and adults
  • Hearing screenings for children and adults

The screenings will be conducted by Elmhurst College graduate students enrolled in the Communication Sciences and Disorders master’s degree program. All screenings will be supervised by speech-language pathologists who are licensed in Illinois and certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

After the screenings, clients will be notified if additional evaluations are warranted.

The Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic Community Day will be held on Saturday, Jan. 18, from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. in Circle Hall.
