Graduate Certificate in Supply Chain Management

If you are new to the field or not sure about pursuing a master’s degree, consider a graduate certificate in supply chain management.

This program consists of the first four core courses of the M.S. in supply chain management program:

  • SCM 515 Finance & Strategy
  • SCM 525 Strategic Sourcing
  • SCM 535 Demand & Supply Planning
  • SCM 545 Transportation & Distribution

Students who complete the four courses for credit will receive the graduate certificate in project management, or they may complete an additional six courses to earn an M.S. in supply chain management.

Upon completing this program, students will be able to:

  • Understand the important role of supply chain management in today’s business environment
  • Understand and apply current supply chain theories, practices and concepts, utilizing case problems and problem-based learning situations
  • Apply computer-based supply chain optimization tools, including selected state-of-the-art supply chain software suites currently used in business
  • Utilize critical management skills such as negotiating, working effectively within a diverse business environment, ethical decision-making and use of information technology
  • Demonstrate effective written and oral communications and critical thinking, team building and presentation skills

Program Format

The graduate certificate program is a part-time, EU Flex program that can be completed online or on campus in as little as one year. Each course is eight weeks long.

If a student chooses to go on and complete the M.S. in supply chain management, all classes from this program will apply toward their degree.

Admission

Applicants for the graduate certificate in supply chain management program must have a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited university or college.

To apply for the certificate program, complete the application for graduate admission and follow the instructions for graduate students. Students who wish to complete the additional coursework to earn a M.S in supply chain management must apply following all of the admission requirements for the master’s degree program.
