Katherine "Katie" Miller, Ph.D., R.N.
Assistant Professor, Director of BSN Program
Miller, director of the BSN program and an assistant professor, joined Elmhurst University full time in 2024. She completed her BSN and Ph.D. at the Univeristy of Michigan. While in her doctoral program, she traveled to Uganda to work with a multidisciplinary team examining the effects of severe malaria on pediatric cognitive functioning. Throughout her doctoral studies, she worked as a pediatric nurse at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor, Mich. Her teaching and scholarly passions focus on ethical and sustainable partnerships to support population-identified outcomes.
