Visiting Students

Students interested in taking one or more undergraduate-level courses without seeking admission to a bachelor’s degree program are considered non-degree. We invite you to join us for a term at Elmhurst University.

Each term of registration for non-degree students will begin on a specific date. Non-degree students are expected to adhere to the University add and drop deadlines. These registration dates and deadlines can be found on the Office of the Registrar Calendar.

Undergraduate Non-Degree Registration

To complete undergraduate non-degree registration, students should follow these steps:

  1. Search for available courses on Self-Service
  2. Contact the Office of Student Financial Services with any questions regarding cost and fees
  3. Submit the Non-Degree Registration Form. Students interested in graduate-level courses will need to contact Graduate Admissions at (630) 617-3400 or [email protected].

Important: If a course requires a prerequisite, non-degree students must send an unofficial copy of their transcript to the department’s chair for approval before submitting the registration form. Once approval is received, attach a screenshot of the approval email to the registration form. Upon submission of the Non-Degree Registration Form, you are registering for the course(s) indicated and will be responsible for payment upon receipt of billing.

Submitting the Non-Degree Registration Form registers you for the course(s) listed on the form. Students are responsible for all applicable tuition and fees and must make payment upon receipt of their billing statement.
