Health Sciences Fair

The Elmhurst University Health Sciences Fair promotes student research studies in the areas of health education, disease prevention, risk factor assessment, intervention and other health promotion topics.

The Fair was started in 2014 to provide students studying areas of health sciences, pre-health professional studies and health psychology an opportunity to showcase their work. The Health Sciences Fair is held annually during the second week in November.

Participating students provide a poster presentation of their work and are prepared to discuss their research with fair attendees. The Health Sciences Fair committee then reviews the abstracts, provides feedback and a rubric for the presentation. Students may submit abstracts describing their clinical projects at rotations/internships, class projects or research work that address the topic of health.

In 2018, the Elmhurst University Health Sciences Fair was in a virtual format with the Journal of Student Research (endorsed by the Council on Undergraduate Research).
