In honor of its 50th reunion, the Class of 1967 has made a commitment to current students through the power of student scholarships.
The campaign launched earlier this year with a goal of $67,000. To date, more than $52,080 has been raised in gifts and pledges for Light of Knowledge Scholarships. Not only has the Class of 1967 established these important scholarships, but members also plan to sustain them for the next two years.
This fall, nine scholarships were awarded to the following students on behalf of the Class of 1967:
- Eric Rinehart ’19
- Scott Helton ’18
- Jessica Kennel ’18
- Jessica Stewart ’18
- Daniel Jimenez ’18
- Citlali Martinez ’19
- George Nelson ’19
- Sara Grabenhofer ’18
- Matthew Gafron ’19
Other reunion classes also raised money for scholarships and student aid.
- The Class of 1957, which celebrated its 60th reunion this year, raised $21,525 in gifts and pledges.
- The Class of 1972, which celebrated its 45th reunion this year, raised $30,736.46 in gifts and pledges. Of that amount, $29,611.46 was raised for scholarships; and $1,125 was raised for the Angel Book Fund, which helps students to purchase textbooks.
