On Thursday, Feb. 7, members of the DuPage Cycling Foundation presented Elmhurst College with a $3,000 donation for scholarships, part of the money raised from the foundation’s annual Superior Ambulance Elmhurst Cycling Classic.

Each summer, amateur and professional cyclists from around the country take part in the daylong bicycle racing event, whose course encircles the College campus. Proceeds from the event benefit local causes and nonprofit organizations.

“I want to thank the DuPage Cycling Foundation for their generosity,” said Valerie Day, vice president for institutional advancement. “We really enjoy and appreciate our partnership with the Cycling Foundation on this popular event, one that benefits both the community and our students.”
