Myshel Rodenbeck comes to Elmhurst University as our newly hired full-time lecturer, teaching human physiology, sport and exercise nutrition, and exercise physiology. Grew up in Bluffton, Indiana, but relocated from Beaufort, South Carolina. Her prior experience in exercise science varies from cardiac and pulmonary rehab, community health, undergraduate exercise science instructor, collegiate strength and conditioning coach, triathlon coaching, as well as a fitness consultant in various sports. With prior degrees: bachelor’s in Exercise Science and a Master’s in Sports Performance, she is currently working on her doctorate in kinesiology with a focus on ultra-endurance female athletes. As a member of the American College of Sports Medicine and the National Strength and Conditioning Association she promotes the benefits and opportunities to students who are pursuing an exercise science degree. Outside of work she enjoys open water swimming, baking, and playing with her Australian Shepherd.
