Elmhurst College Kicks Off Real Bluejays Wear Pink on Oct. 2

Elmhurst College will observe Breast Cancer Awareness Month by coming together throughout October for Real Bluejays Wear Pink, the campuswide version of the American Cancer Society’s Real Men Wear Pink campaign.

President Troy D. VanAken is one of 20 executives and area leaders invited to participate in DuPage County Real Men Wear Pink, which calls attention to the role of men—as caregivers, sons, fathers, brothers, husbands, as well as patients—in supporting breast cancer patients, survivors and research.

Beginning on Tuesday, Oct. 2, Real Bluejays Wear Pink, led by President VanAken and Vice President for Student Affairs Phil Riordan, a cancer survivor, will engage the entire campus community in raising awareness and funds to help in the fight against cancer, a disease that has touched all our lives.
