Make a difference and give back. Each year, Elmhurst students contribute to some 2,000 service projects.
Service opportunities range from feeding the homeless to building houses in Honduras to teaching music to children in Jamaica. Here are some ways you can get involved.
Common Good Grants
The Niebuhr Center for Engagement and Reflection provides funding up to $2,000 for the development of projects that address a social issue about which you are passionate.
Urban Immersion Program
The Urban Immersion Program offers a variety of opportunities to get involved, including:
- Volunteer work for a local church
- Weekend service projects in cities like Detroit, Indianapolis or the Twin Cities
- Spring break service trips to Jamaica, where we work with children in an orphanage. Students learn about a different culture and contribute to the community’s welfare.
