Women’s History Month

A Message from Our Executive Director for Inclusion and Belonging

As we enter the month of March, we celebrate a time of reflection, growth and unity across our campus community. Ramadan, a significant period of fasting and spiritual renewal for our Muslim students, begins on March 1. We wish all those observing a peaceful and fulfilling Ramadan. In addition, we recognize the significance of Fat Tuesday and Ash Wednesday as moments of tradition and renewal for many community members. March 8 marks International Women’s Day, a global celebration of women’s social, economic and cultural achievements. This day reminds us of the importance of advocating for gender equality in all spaces, especially within our Elmhurst community.

On a special note, we want to highlight the outstanding achievement of our women’s track and field team at the 2025 CCIW Indoor Track and Field Championships. The team secured their first-ever championship in program history, scoring a remarkable 160 points— the most in a win since 2019. Among their accomplishments, 19 athletes earned All-CCIW honors, with five becoming champions. Alyssa Busker won both the 55m and 200m and was named Track Student-Athlete of the Meet. Chloe Selmer was recognized as First-Year Field Student-Athlete of the Meet, while Esther Brown and Molly Roberts received the prestigious CCIW Elite 26 Award. Congratulations to these incredible athletes, and we look forward to seeing more success as they aim for the NCAA National Championships!
