Elmhurst College President Troy D. VanAken, center, holds a signed agreement with officials from Vietnam's FPT School of Business and Technology.

Ha Nguyen, associate dean of FPT School of Business and Technology (FSB) in Vietnam; President Troy D. VanAken; and Dr. Rashid, executive director and CEO of Pegasus International College display the agreement between the two schools on a new master’s of business administration program of study.

A new global partnership will bring business students from Southeast Asia to Elmhurst College.

The College and Vietnam’s FPT School of Business and Technology (FSB) reached an agreement that will help students from Vietnam make the journey to Elmhurst and earn their master’s degrees in business administration.

Together, Elmhurst and FSB will implement a two-phase postgraduate process. In the first phase, students in Vietnam will earn their Diploma of Advanced Study.

In the second phase, those students will attend Elmhurst College and complete the Elmhurst MBA. The agreement enables FSB students to finish their studies in one year.

“I am excited to welcome FSB’s students to Elmhurst so they can continue their education here,” President Troy D. VanAken said. “Through partnerships like these, Elmhurst is honoring its commitment to serve learners all over the world and prepare all our students to make a positive impact on a global society.”

President VanAken met with FSB leadership in Vietnam on April 10 to sign a memorandum of understanding between the two schools. Both institutions have prioritized high-quality partnerships that expand their networks around the world.

The Elmhurst MBA offers flexible degree options on campus or online, with 11 areas of specialization, including managerial leadership, finance, health care administration and data science. The College recently received national recognition for its MBA program from college guidance experts Abound.

The agreement with FSB is the latest of several innovative partnerships the College has formed, including with Greece-based American Community Schools and Singapore-based KinderWorld Education Group.
