Elmhurst College’s 2018-2019 President’s Road Trip—an ambitious tour that brought the excitement of campus to supporters from Atlanta to San Francisco—came home with honors.

Members of Elmhurst College's Office of Institutional Advancement and Office of Marketing and Communications pose with their award from CASEThe Road Trip visited alumni, parents and other friends of the College over the country. President Troy D. VanAken and Dr. Annette M. VanAken hosted events in 15 cities, beginning in St. Louis in November of 2018.

At each stop, they shared the latest news from Elmhurst along with plans for the College’s 150-year celebration in 2021.

As a result, the College won a bronze award in the category of Excellence in Special Events (Series of Events) from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). The annual Pride of CASE V Awards recognize outstanding achievements at CASE District V institutions.

“Being recognized by your peer institutions and CASE is a real honor,” President VanAken said. “The Office of Institutional Advancement and Office of Marketing and Communications did exceptional work on this cross-country tour, and I commend their collaboration and teamwork.”

Meanwhile, the Road Trip’s success has spawned a sequel. President’s Road Trip: On the Road Again will kick off in Naples, Fla., on Jan. 28 and wrap up May 7 in Chicago with an event that coincides with the College’s annual Giving Day.
