Wheaton Exhibit Honors Judge William J. Bauer ’49

During a long and distinguished legal career, Judge William J. Bauer ’49 has served as state’s attorney for DuPage County, judge of the 18th Judicial Circuit of the State of Illinois, U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois, a federal district court judge and a member of the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.

Now, Judge Bauer can yet another item to his resume. On June 23, an exhibit devoted to Judge Bauer’s life and work opened at the DuPage County Judicial Office Facility Annex in Wheaton. Featuring mementos, newspaper clippings and one of the Judge’s judicial robes, the exhibit honors the judge’s long record of dedication to public service.

Several media outlets reported on the exhibit, including the Chicago Tribune, the Daily Herald and Suburban Life.
