- A Fulbright scholar who did fieldwork in Thailand before entering an MD program at Rush Medical College
- A researcher with a national primate center who’s working on the development of diabetes- and obesity-related drugs
- A former park ranger with the National Park Service in South Dakota who recently completed a Ph.D. in ecology and evolutionary biology, specializing in paleontology
