- The baccalaureate degree program in nursing and the master’s degree program in nursing at Elmhurst University are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, 655 K Street, NW, Suite 750, Washington, DC 20001, 202-887-6791.
- The Department of Education continues to maintain its status with the Illinois State Board of Education through its State Educator Preparation and Licensure Board; most recently July 23, 2018.

- The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Elmhurst University offers chemistry and biochemistry majors that are certified by the American Chemical Society. These programs meet standards set by the ACS for curriculum, faculty and infrastructure. The department is to submit its next five-year review in June of 2027.
