Lawrence Carroll, executive director of the Center for Professional Excellence at Elmhurst College and a professor of business education there, has been elected to serve on the Board of Directors for the Community Bank of Elmhurst.

At a Board of Directors meeting on June 19, members voted unanimously to have Carroll join the board of 10 in providing leadership to the bank, which is in its 22nd year in business.

“Community Bank of Elmhurst is delighted to have Larry Carroll join our Board,” said William C. (Bill) Gooch Jr., chairman of the board. “He is an individual of strong character and dedication to Elmhurst. His work at Elmhurst College over his career made him an excellent choice for us.”

Carroll has been with Elmhurst College since 1974. A resident of Wheaton, Carroll holds degrees from the Forest Institute of Professional Psychology (Psy.D.), Roosevelt University (MBA) and Lewis University (B.A.).

“This is a wonderful opportunity for me to continue to be involved within Elmhurst and be a part of a most successful local business,” Carroll said. “The Community Bank of Elmhurst is the city’s original community bank.”
