Bryan Miller
A career military musician and educator, Lieutenant Colonel Bryan Miller enjoyed the honor of serving our nation as Commander and Conductor of the 566th Air Force Band, the Air National Guard Band of the Midwest, a National Medal of Arts recipient organization. Additional affiliations include Elmhurst University, North Central College, Northern Illinois University, VanderCook College, NAfME’s National Council of Music Program Leaders, the Naperville, and Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestras. He’s the founder and artistic director of the acclaimed Chicagoland Educators Orchestra and the Band of the Midwest, annually conducting the Midwest Clinic’s New Band Music and New Orchestra Music Sessions. An accomplished trumpet artist, he performed with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Lyric Opera brass sections for the Arnold Jacobs memorial tribute concert at Chicago Symphony Center, was a Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition semi-finalist, a NIU Jazz Ensemble alumnus, and founding member of Chicagoland’s renown Pete Ellman Big Band.
