Margaret Fox
Margaret Fox (mezzo-soprano) holds a Bachelor of Music from Illinois Wesleyan University and a Master of Music from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
On stage—as an opera performer, concert soloist, and ensemble singer—she has appeared with Florentine Opera, Haymarket Opera, American Bach Soloists, Madison Bach Musicians, Cor Cantiamo, Beloit-Janesville Symphony, Music of the Baroque Orchestra, and Grant Park Orchestra. She is a longtime member of the Grant Park Chorus, Music of the Baroque, Chicago Symphony Chorus, and St. Charles Singers. Her training includes programs with the Aspen Opera Theater Center, American Bach Soloists Academy, and Opera for the Young.
She lives and teaches in Batavia, where she is a frequent adjudicator and clinician for high school vocalists and choirs. Her two children and partner, Brandon Fox—an early childhood and elementary music teacher of over 20 years—have deepened her appreciation for music education at every level.
